Due to a health emergency, I was seen and received treatment at HBH Emergency Room. The nurses were very friendly and kind, and made me feel calm and comfortable. Dr. Chan was able to diagnose and perscribe treatment quickly. He was professional, knowlegable, and very kind. Excellent service and care! Thank you to Dr. Khaled Chan and the HBH Nurses and Staff.

Very poor communication from my 86 year old mother's care team. Zero to none unless you happen to be lucky enough to accidentally run into them. Most of the nurses were friendly and compassionate except one who I had trouble understanding and she never bothered to call me back to provide status on her discharge or lack of. They called in her prescriptions this morning and then never discharged her so I guess she is now spending the weekend. I sat around waiting all day for nothing. Mom was also in ER overnight waiting for a room from 5PM to around 11AM the next day.

I had an allergic reaction last night and I had to be rushed to the ER. I usually go to FV Hospital and had never been here before, but after last night this will be my ER of choice. The night crew was fantastic. The dr and nurses took great care of me, and I think that they are the best ER team that I’ve had. They checked up on me often and were very personable. My only complaint was that when I ran in and said that I was having trouble breathing, the front desk lady gave me a form to fill out before the nurse saw me. I think she was new, but it seemed a little tone deaf to give me paperwork before benadryl when my throat was swelling. Especially since my mom was there and could have filled it out for me.

I was called back immediately, everyone was very kind and helpful. The dr came in, in a timely manner. 4 stitches and a CT scan and I was on my way. Very accommodating. People in radiology were also very kind and quick.

Took my son to the ER on a Saturday evening to rule out a broken foot. Shockingly, there was only 1 other person there and we filled out paperwork immediately. Although I wasn’t able to view the entire ER department, I would have to guess it’s quite small as we had to wait 1 1/2 hours before we were called in to first have vitals, then see a doctor. There still wasn’t a bed available so a gurney in the hallway is where my son had X-rays taken, discussed situation with the doctor and got the results. An incident took place with a man in a nearby room, obviously intoxicated and “unhoused”, who came out in the hallway right in front of us yelling about his cigarettes being thrown out, the nurses were horrible, etc. About the time I was ready to grab my pepper spray, several nurses were there to handle the situation. There were security guards by the entrance when we arrived handling a similar situation so I knew the nurses had backup. We were there a total of 5 hours before discharged. All that being said, I’ve had many experiences at ER’s the past couple years due to chronic health issues and although this might sound bad, and it was, it’s par for the course and even better th
